Greetings Brothers and Sisters of Faith,
As we begin our day, let us not dwell on the evil of the enemy or his fiery trials that are all around us, but let us keep our eyes on Jesus our Lord and Savior, the only one who can give us Peace and Hope. The following two verses will help you understand that as a Christian you will have times of serious trials in your life, but God is aware of what we are going through and He will cut all this “stuff” short for the benefit of His followers.
Romans 9:28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.
May God bless you this day and may His Peace that passes understanding be yours.
Just this morning a news report stated that the government is prepared to place a two week quarantine on all Americans if they determine that people are not honoring the "social distancing" recommendation. The government is ready to call out the National Guard to enforce the quarantine. The only stores that would be open would be grocery stores and pharmacies. The government is very concerned about the spread of the virus and in order to slow it down we need to do our part.
May I remind you that this COVID-19 virus is only a precursor of things to come. Remember Jesus told His disciples that “when you see these things, know that this is only the beginning of sorrows.”
Luke 21:25 “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
When I read these texts and got to the end my heart swelled with joy for the promise of Jesus, when He said; “Look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh. “So come, Lord Jesus.”
